| Above: Field Captain Eric Rosenbaum goes up high for a line out. Nov. 7th ~ The visiting Omaha Goats D2 took an early 33-7 lead into half and cruised to an easy 52-10 win. The bench was cleared in the second half with all 22 players seeing action. The Goats got tries from Blake Shultz, Jake Bowers, John Funkhouser (2), Corey DeJong, Ty Dilts, Jeffery Phelps. Zach Hartnett kicked well for space and also put over 6 of 8 conversion attempts. "The first two tries were by Funk out wide in the first 8 minutes through great execution of our overload creation; our 33 first half points were scored in first 25 minutes cap'd with a juggernaut 10 meter penalty tap and dish to a refridgerator sized prop moving at a high rate of speed, Ty Dilts. Falo Faalii smartly grabbed an errant KCRFC kick for touch and then placed a quick line out to a charging Corey DeJong who touched down a postcard try. The great fall season of was capped off by an acrobatic 25 meter rumble by 8-man Jake Bowers in the 76th minute, jumping over one tackler, then over two tacklers, running over a fourth defender with an authoritative statement of his will to score. The one arm toss of the oppositions fullback in the try zone to place it down for the final score of the season was a nice touch." --Coach Rediger The Goats D2 move to 4-0 in league play and await the Spring season with much anticipation.
