Banquet Celebrates GOATS, Members, Fans

After the last match of the fall campaign in 2018, the Omaha GOATS hadn’t won a game. Fast forward to May 2019, and the GOATS wouldn’t lose a match all Spring. It called for celebration. The Omaha GOATS Rugby Football Club wrapped up their 40th anniversary season with a banger at their annual banquet on June 1st at Johnny’s Cafe in Omaha. The 40th anniversary jerseys were auctioned off to several lucky members, and awards were handed out to valuable players and clubmen of the year. The successes of this club over the past year are in large part due to our new coaching staff pictured below, and many dedicated board members with big visions. The GOATS hope to build on their success over the summer with off-season training and 7s play. Look for the fall schedule in the coming month or so and join them in their quest for a national title starting in late August. Thanks to all the old boys, family, fans and friends of the GOATS. We could not do it without you all!

Cheers!
